Black Bears on the Chief

There are notices up in the campground indicating that bears are in the area.

I came face-to-face with a black bear cub near long set of stairs on the backside trail... near the Shannon Falls Bridge.

Keep an eye out. And watch your dogs. Little Cubbie was cute and curious. I wouldn't expect the same out of mom.

Saw one this morning taking a walk along the base of the Forgotton wall at Chek. Probably about 2 years old. Took off pretty quick when he saw us.
