Climbing Resolutions for 2009

Post by MCpl » Thu Jan 01, 2009 10:53 pm

Anybody got any thing they wanna accomplish this year?

For me... the big has got to be getting on the grand with these two friends who have been planning it for 2 yrs now. We just never get around to do it.

Oh, I sent what I thought might be my life long goal last year so, I guess, more at the grade or harder. No route in particular, they all have they're own challenge.

Lead an .11 on gear! I'm a ways away, but it'll open up soooo many doors for me

This is the year Marty. I need to get better first. My shoulder is still f'ed. I've been off for five weeks. I'm hoping to get back later this month. I'm going insane. I've never been off for more than a week or two.

Goals for 2009

Post by Miles » Fri Jan 09, 2009 9:16 pm

I am still in for the Grand. Plus a few leftover projects. Ancient Heart, Yellowbeard, etc. I like the goal of leading an 11 on gear, although I would be happy to lead anything in the 10 range clean.

#1. Quit drinking too much.
#2. Quit smoking.
#3. Get to about 10d-11a.
#4.Start saving for a new car.

In the above order.

So, how we all doing? I followed an 11 on gear today, and led a mixed 11 yesterday (bolted crux)... fell once on each.

Led a 10d clean though... getting close!

Almost ski season.... :D
