So it looks like Saturday might be good, but every other day in most of the forecasts I'm looking at are calling for rain. Is it going to rain for the rest of the summer!? There are still so many routes I wanted to get up this year. I know they'll still be there next year, but I'm really not enjoying sitting inside and hiking in the rain isn't nearly as appealing as climbing!

yes it is going for the rest of the summer - in fact, it's going to rain until next JULY.
This is what happens to those who stay in Squamish beyond the 3-week window of good weather:
Escape while you still can......

LONG TERM...FROM PREV DISCUSSION...PROGRESSIVE SHORT WAVES WILL
AFFECT THE AREA EVERY COUPLE DAYS DURING THE EXTENDED PERIOD. GLOBAL
MODELS SHOW A COUPLE OF RATHER DEEP TROUGHS MOVING ACROSS THE AREA
DURING THE PERIOD...ONE LATER SUNDAY OR SUNDAY NIGHT AND ANOTHER THE
MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. THE ONE FOR LATER THIS WEEKEND LOOKS
IMPRESSIVELY WET WITH BOTH THE ECMWF AND GFS HINTING AT
PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS SIMILAR TO THE SYSTEM THAT JUST RECENTLY
BROUGHT LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL TO THE AREA. AS A RESULT POPS WILL BE
INCREASED...ESPECIALLY SUN NIGHT.
MODEL TIMING BECOMES LESS CONSISTENT WITH THE NEXT WAVE EXPECTED TO
MOVE THROUGH THE AREA TUE OR WED...SO FORECASTS BEYOND THE WEEKEND
WILL BE LEFT ALONE FOR NOW. LATER FORECAST SHIFTS MAY NEED TO ADJUST
FORECAST TO A COOLER AND WETTER THAN NORMAL PATTER NEXT WEEK.

I spotted some climbers in the Smoke Bluffs on my way home from work. Get out there while you can, never know when the sun will return.

Anyone feel like taking a climbing road trip somewhere with me? I'd prefer cracks, but I'm not picky at all. I'd love to go to Indian Creek, but I'm sure it's still to hot there. So I'd be happy to go pretty much anywhere in Utah, Nevada, Oregon, California, etc. PM me if you're interested. I'm free for the next 2-3 weeks.
