Re: Free gear to anyone re-equipping stripped routes.
Climbing in the bluffs yesterday - noticed that bolts from new routes at Bughouse Heights "pussies galore", "blethersright?" and "unscrupulous" have all been stripped. At Ravens Dell hangers have been removed from the route "Tok Tok". Are the free nuts and hangers still available? Also - anybody hav...

"If you want a safer via ferrata, I recommend that you carry up the needed materials and a drill and install it yourself. In the meantime, if you don't like it, just walk on by and leave it to us who do enjoy it." I agree with this statement 100% Now if you would also apply the words "bolt", "statio...

I don't think anybody (route developer aside) should be removing bolts/stations/ladders/chains unless the removal is done concurrently with upgrading of the existing hardware and does not alter the nature of the route. I don't need any f@cking climbing police to make my decisions for me - tha...

What a shame. Hope not too many routes are lost. I've always enjoyed finding new (or old) Barley routes and climbing them. If you don't like a climb - don't climb it. It's a slippery slope. Maybe all our mothers should get together and add bolts to those "scary" runout routes on the Apron. Maybe the...

I'd support a footbridge across the Squamish River or a gondola up the shoulder of Mnt Lapworth. That would direct traffic (revenue) through downtown. Stawamus Chief is a park for hiking and climbing - it doesn't need a gondola or a casino or another starbucks. The Stawamus Chief gondola advocates c...

Or t2climb could spend his own time and money putting in proper anchors instead of bitching about other peoples hard work on an internet forum. I'm not a big fan of the staples but I have had a lot of good times on various RB routes over the years. I'm curious to know what new routes you've put up a...

Thanks to all the people volunteering their time and money (and sweat & blood) to put up good new climbs. I have climbed this route and a few other new routes so far this year and have enjoyed every new pitch. If you don't like the way a crag has been developed then develop your own route (or crag!)...

Every time I've been anywhere near bellygood this year I've seen falcons. You can see evidence of their kills on many ledges up there and you can see them hanging out near the North end of the top of Tantalus Wall. Just because you didn't see falcons while you were climbing in an area CLOSED for fal...

It would appear to me that the final pitches of Milk Road are within the falcon closure. I've been waiting for the closure to end before I climb this route... Climbing in closed areas is not cool - show some respect.

OP, Thanks for all your hard work developing new routes. In case you envirofascist psuedobuddhists didn't notice - we live in a temperate rainforest where moss, shrubs and trees grow like weeds even on a vertical rock wall. Look at photos of the Chief over the last 50 years and you will see how the ...

$10,000 ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe I should've tried to get funding for the little crag I'm developing. Lets see... one wire brush -$3.99, one marine deck brush -$14.99, one pair of hand pruners -$11.00, one small swede saw -$19.50, 10m webbing -$13.00, one old ice axe -free (found in manning park), ...
