Re: Any word on falcon closures yet?

That would be a GOPro video that would be worth watching.. "Climber grunting and clawing up the route, reaches up to flat ledge where nests is..." BANG! Raven attack!!! (close up of beak and black feathers hitting GoPro cam...)

Re: Any word on falcon closures yet?

Ravens stupid? the ones with the largest brain when compared to other birds? The same family that makes tools to use? They are smarter than a lot of climbers i"ve met.

Re: Spring climbing

Is it good this time of year? No. For example it was snowing yesterday in the greater Vancouver area. You can find areas dry enough to climb however the selection of climbs are limited. Bouldering is a safer bet as when the weather breaks they tend to dry faster. Right now the highs are 9c which is ...

Re: Cougar Crag?

Slayer and I with a friend stopped by after climbing in Squamish to escape the heat. We got on several of the routes and had a blast. One of us decided to try wading in the stream with shoes and socks on :) Really good quality climbing on the 11 and the 12, the 10d is a little funky. Nice find guys!...

Re: new routes at Fern Hill?

Ditto on the thanks Peter. They are really nice additions to the wall for sure. Hot Chaud -12b fun, very cool route The Lady Switcher - sandbagged at 11a, it felt closer grade wise to the Divine Line. The Divine Line - 11c bang on for the grade to me. Mudraker .... Hard 11d (harder than the Pleasure...

I was up there hiking about 9 days ago and the water was higher than the last time (i'm thinking due to snow melt)

Indecently the nut, hanger and draw fell off the third fixed draw on the 11a after i clipped the fourth bolt. I had a spare nut and wrench so we put it b...

Re: Cougar Crag?

I wandered in there this afternoon to have a look. Cool looking cliff Rolf, still seeping in a few spots and lowering off the routes would result in the climber paddling lol. Once the water drops off i'll be back. Thanks for all the hard work!

Hey mpc, I did a full tear of my ACL 3 years ago in karate class. I was climbing /bouldering 2 -3 times a week without a ACL until this Jan. I opted to try and rehab my leg at the time with physio and focusing on strengthening the hamstring. The first year i climbed non-stop and was able to climb at...

Boycott Outdoor Adventures in Whistler (killed 100 sled dogs

It recently came to light that Outdoor Adventures in Whistler killed off 100 sled dogs last April by shooting and cutting their throats. Please do not spend your money or refer people to them.
