to do this route do you first climb the old 10c (Campfire Vamp) and then carry on above?

good idea. I guess ignorance could explain some of the "thefts" and zappers would illustrate the point to those who are simply ill-informed. You could also paint a sign on the rock at the top......like the route names at the bottom  And then on the bottom of the routes you could paint the grad...

as has been said here before......some people really do suck.

We really should consider organized vigilante-ism.

I would hold any thief down while you broke their hands.

Thanks for that.

It's a really fun route - one of the best on the wall. The time lost from your life to enable the enjoyment of the masses will undoubtabley figure quite favourably in your karma bank.

Maybe you'll be reincarnated as the next Sharma?!

Nice place it is....quite shaded...

Be aware that there is a very chalked up grapefruit-sized loose rock to the right of the fourth bolt on "Buffet". You don't need to use it, but it looks like an obvious jug to grab when you're there.

Anyone know if the top bolt on FI been fixed/replaced??

I've been told one of the bolt hangers on RM has been removed.

Can anyone confirm this?

Air BC direct is definitely wet at the start, but the original route to the left (uses first bolt of Pheasant, one cam, and one piton and/or nut) is dry and ready to go.

Yeah, I was at Forgotten Wall today and saw Stallone prepping for the movie........you'll recall in Cliffhanger I he was climbing with a harness, full rack of gear.......and no rope. I'm surprised the residents of West Van weren't complaining about the grunting noises he was making as he dyno'd each...

Road Access Problem at Chek

for your information:

tried to go to chek today (tuesday) and it was strictly no way to get onto the Conroy Creek service road. Cones, workers, machines, gravel, etc. everywhere.

don't know for how long this will be blocked off or if there will be any blockage on the weekends.

one vanilla-crisp power bar wrapper (you know who you are), one crunched up piece of foil, one piece of dental floss, 4 chunks of plastic wrap, several bits of paper, one very hungry rodent who chewed into my food bag. Let's be a bit tidier people! This was all just at the base of SI, and, except fo...
