Re: BCAS reports a climber has fallen from the Chief
Super sad... Just to toss out another tidbit that may be relevant. The top of the Upper Black Dyke is directly above the area where she apparently landed. Descending from the first summit, it's really easy to wander over there if you miss a left turn. That said, basic care (even for hikers) keeps t...

Re: 12 new Bolts left of the pillar
I see. That certainly adds context to these photos my friend took yesterday. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/59544824/photos/IMG_1901.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/59544824/photos/IMG_1900.JPG I've only been here 18 months so what do I know, but I can think of lots of places where some...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show
I'm climbing this route again tomorrow and bringing a camera. I'll post pictures of the destruction to the Mil Falcon belay ledge and the bolting insanity. We were promised photos Jesse. I was the first on the route today - ask Harry Young :-) I'm not doubting you were the first on it (?), I just w...

Re: Heli evac off north walls
Talked to the party, that was behind the injured party. Why would someone in this situation refuse to let them go ahead (since there was nothing they could do) and expose them to a completely unnecessary danger (by forcing them to wait for almost 4 hours and forcing them to retreat from the top of ...
