You don't do the tree pull pitch at all. The new start is slightly uphill to the climbers left of the tree-pull start(stay on the Rock On trail until you see a clean, inviting dihedral on your right). We did the new start a couple weeks ago to get to South Arete. The combo of the new start and the l...

P1. Face climb past a bolt to gain the long left facing corner. At your first opportunity, step right, out of the corner into a crack ending at a large ledge. My partner got confused about exactly where to step right(she stayed in the corner too long, I think) and ended up bailing off one of the bo...

Here's a trip report I posted about it last year on cascadeclimbers.com. It might answer some of your questions.

Thanks for posting up about this, Climberkuo. I am relieved to hear that you are healing so quickly after the accident. Thought for sure you were a goner when I saw you flying and bouncing down that cave. You handled the whole experience exceptionally well and were a real trooper in continui...

Squamish this Monday, 7/26

I'm in town with rope and rack looking for solid, safe partner for moderate multi(would like to do South Arete, 5.9) or cragging that day. I don't mind doing all the leading up to 5.10a(can follow harder if you lead.) Would like to climb with someone who enjoys crack and is comfortable at the grades...

partner

Hey John! You picked a good time to escape the southwest heat. I'll likely be up there next weekend or so if you want to get out together for a day.

You read my mind, Slopr. I just put it on the list. I haven't been to that area before, but it looks good. Thanks! I was also looking at Jungle Warfare.

Very sorry to hear about the theft of your gear, James. Totally sucks. Where was your car parked at the time it was broken into?

Hope you can salvage some of your trip and that your gear finds its way back to you somehow.

Thanks for the terrific info, all. It's much appreciated. I'm going back through the book to pick out some other options for this trip; I'm happy to save UE and AC for later this summer. I'll keep Squamish Buttress on the list, though.

Thanks so much, Dru. I had wondered about Squamish Buttress being an option. I'll look up Stairway in the guidebook.

Angel's Crest conditions or alternative?

Is it still early to expect Angel's to be dry? We're heading up this weekend for 3-4 days, hoping to climb a long multi or two in the .10a- 10b range(Ultimate Everything is also on our ticklist). Even though the forecast is decent, seems like maybe some of the classics could still be seeping given t...

Run from the rain Sept 13-16--leavenworth, WA

If anyone is looking to escape the wet forecast next week, I'm looking for partners for a few days of Washington granite goodness next week, Index and Leavenworth areas(prefer trad). I am a safe climber, familiar with both areas, lead 5.9's and a few 5.10's, and will have my own transport, rope and ...

I haven't heard anything back from budoshin yet...if anyone else is interested in climbing tomorrow let me know(I'll be checking PM's tonight until approx 11pm and then again in the AM ). Be a shame to let such nice weather go to waste.

Thanks, Sherri
