Borderline Dryness

Just wondering how quick (or not quick) Borderline/Blazing Saddles is to dry. Was planning on giving it a go this weekend but, since yesterdays thundershowers and the little showers today, I'm thinking about saving it for another time.

Thanks!

Re: Left Side of the Papoose

Very possible that it is a drainage chute. I'll head up there soon to decide if it's worth the effort or not.

Thanks for all the replies!

Re: Left Side of the Papoose

Yup, it was further left than your fixed lines (though, that line did look pretty cool), maybe 100 - 130m further.

I'll dig out my copy of Campbell's guide and see if I can find it.

Thanks!

Left Side of the Papoose

Just wondering if anyone knows of any old grown over routes on the left side of the Papoose. Did Centerfold today and noticed one very grown in corner ending with a couple fist sized(?) roof moves. Looked like it would be worth investigating but, curious if anybody has already done so and has any kn...

Re: Here we go again (Squamish Gondola proposal)

I have been e-mailing back and forth with Trevor Dunn regarding this proposal (read more about the founders here : http://www.seatoskygondola.com/our-team/) and I'll post the pertinent details on the forum once conclusive points have been reached. It does seem like they have given a lot of thought t...

Re: Here we go again (Squamish Gondola proposal)

In all fairness, this is a different proposal (http://www.seatoskygondola.com/the-proposal/). This gondola is intended to go to the ridge on Habrich. I`m still hugely opposed to it but, it is a different group, pushing a different plan. Please take a little time to fill out the `get involved` sectio...

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

My ride up from Van won't be there 'til 9ish. Happy to head up to BOP around then if you're short on people. Send me a message at 778-686-1455 in the morning, if I can be of assistance (ie. not enough people). Otherwise, be safe and get that sucker down.

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

Wondering if this happened today. If not, I'll be up in Squish at 9:15 tomorrow morning and can head up to BOP, if someone kicked it loose today, I'll be searching for dry rock :).

Can be contacted at 778-686-1455, text or call.

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

I'm in for Sunday morning and will bring a buddy to help out (and climb afterwards) :D.

Time and meeting place?

Cheers,

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

Happy to help out either on the ropes or on the ground, as long as I can get up to Squamish from Van that day.

Can also supply a retired rope to help move the beast, if required.

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

Saw the flake the weekend before last being held up by the tree. Doesn't seem to shift from gentle presses (didn't want to do more than that). I'll second that it's only a matter of time before the tree gives and it comes down and it's a huge danger to people on the first 2 pitches or at the base. A...

Re: Province removes parking fees at BC Parks

Hopefully that doesn't remove the tiny amount of funds that BC Parks currently gets by on. *note, this is just what I heard on the radio this morning*: The parking revenue from BC parks was about 1 million annually. This loss of revenue will not be removed from the BC parks budget. Of course, that ...
