Re: Video - Squamish Bouldering Old School
I think when this video was made we were already at the third bouldering guide book? The first one was free, handed out by Peter Michaux. Was a really fun time, my roomate (Stu W.) at the time took the cover of the second guide, I think it was after we cleaned this monkey and the grinch. Most of the...

Re: Mount Habrich
The road is being repaired now, the blockade is being taken down and replaced with a gate, possibly a tad higher with some room for some parking.
Apparently there is still some snow on the road, making for tough biking conditions but melting fast.
Cheers

Re: Squamish Select Top 100
Yes, there are lots of ways of writing it I suppose. I disagree, a select guide should be select, the best routes of the area that you have to tick. The one thing I hate about the book is that if he includes one climb at a wall he includes them all, so you get routes that havent been climbed in dec...

Re: Stawamus River climbers camp mess
Aaron, your perceived rights are not above the law. Campfires and camping are allowed on Crown land and although I dont agree with the climbers trash I would rather deal with that than have my rights as a citizen curbed because some folks are leaving behind trash. In that sense I dont agree with you...

Re: Stawamus River climbers camp mess
Municipal land, crown land, private land..... It's a moot point and irrelevant to the issue. If any would be campers decide to set up camp so close to a residential area and the locals don't like it, the camp gets shut down. Thats a pretty slippery slope there, and I dont agree with it. Crown land ...

Re: Climbing destinations - need recommendations
Potrero is out-- serious security issues not in Potrero per se but in areas around it-- basically there is no law, period, and if the big-timers don't f**k with you the small-timers who enjoy the absence of cops will. Well if you travel long enough in Mexico you know that the cops have never been t...

Dont worry too much, its a fictional piece of writing. Them cedars are bomb!I had been wondering about the Mouse's anchors, so, knowing you, I'm gonna take your word for it

Re: Simul Rapping
The pay grade is generally defined by the level of the responsibilities performed within the job description of the position and the length of time the person has performed the job. less time, less experience = lower pay grade Folks who try to work above their pay grade often get sent home... somet...

Re: Simul Rapping
Some places its standard procedure some places its not. Two people at the same time is twice as fast as one at a time, if its above your pay grade then yes better to fireman your friend down.

Re: Simul Rapping
Well its actually twice as fast....pretty standard for big bolted faces..El Potrero, the big limestone rigs in Austria...Minimal time saving for making something already risky, even more so.

Re: anyone fallen off diedre?
The best "story" ever about Diedre is the one Uncle Tricky wrote on CC. I think I have posted it here before.
