Re: Squamish Summer Boulder Conditions

"typically" May is good, June sucks, often leaking into first week(ish) of July...of course thats not always the case but its probably not far off.

Re: Who took my rope at Top Shelf?

I have three ropes I would like to donate to the cleaning cause, I am in Vancouver and can drop them off around town...or you can pick them up, whatever works.

Re: Kids Zone: Call to Diggers

a "dedicated" practice crag right on the trail wouldnt hurt methinks Ya its called neat and cool. is there any reason why a group needs to practice rapping on a nice weekend on popular climbs ... Certainly no less of a reason why a guy like yourself, who should know better is taking people to an ov...

Re: Here we go again (Squamish Gondola proposal)

That would be really nice, a parking area at the Habrich spur. I think its worth remembering that the Stawamus road was gated at Mamquam for many years recently, so just being able to drive to the blockade is an improvement. They were actually giving out tickets for driving the bypass at the gate. R...

Re: Chebacca's 5.10b 3p at Shannon Falls

Regarding the P3 bolt, both of us just climbed straight up to it from below, there was no issues with ledges or swings. We had no topo so we didnt think to go right there and step back again... Thanks for the good route, and I thought the chimney was far easier than the parallel passages chimney. Ch...

Re: Hanger Missing on First Bolt of Gertrude in Murrin

^^^ Yup, for some reason the first hanger fell off and someone placed it, the nut, and the washer on the small ledge then marked it with a big X

Then someone took the hardware.

Re: Boomstick Crack with beginner/ child

I think you remember it correctly, tough little start to a wide crack that traverses. The traverse is easy, you will just have to bring some larger cams to protect the swing at the very beginning. Otherwise you can do one of the slab climbs to the right to the same place, maybe you can go right up G...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show

The fuss is that a "professional climber, rock and big wall guide" (according to his blog) couldn't get past the first bolt on a variation to the first pitch of Millenium Falcon (MF). Instead of walking 20 feet left and climbing 5.6 terrain around it, he rapped off and proclaimed the route sh*t afte...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show

Arent you the guy that had the same experience on the Mouses tooth? All of my friends who have climbed SS have said it is an instant classic. Furthermore, everyone of Colins routes that I can actually climb have been awesome and well thought out.
