Anyone keen on offwidths....

Last summer I was hanging around the Darkside underneath the North Walls with some friends. They were all scrubbing and sending new lines in the vicinity of 911. I'm not sure why, perhaps I had watched Wide Boyz recently, but I had it in my mind that I wanted to find an offwidth boulder problem. I w...

Climb the Grand tomorrow?

Anyone interested? Jump start to the season.... Ideally would like to share the work, but can lead everything if necessary. 77eight 996 6082

Re: Sunday multipitch

Just a heads up, at this time of year, Ultimate Everything will be a complete waterfall on the first two pitches, with the fourth and probably fifth being quite wet as well.

Re: Favourite pitch in Squamish - any grade - any style

Okay, new year, new favorites. Final pitch of Sunblessed was cool; I tried grovelling the flare at the bottom and got spat out, so ended up stemming the entire way up the thing. Pitch's 4 and 5 on Freeway. Good protection, cool movement, great position. Last pitch of Great Game. Only a couple moves,...

Re: Mank Patrol

I posted it somewhere else late last summer, but the perma draws on Sanctuary at Rogues are in bad shape. Slings are faded and old, and at least one of the biners stuck open. Second bolt on Jacobs Ladder next to Zombie Roof spins in the rock. Anchor bolt ending the first proper pitch of Freeway was ...

Re: Cheap climbers

Almost all restaurants charge a gratuity (of like 18% or something) for groups that come in, therefore negating a tip. Without naming locations, I was with a group of friends (all of us being climbers save for 1 or 2) and when we went to pay our bill, we noticed it was a bit larger than we had expec...

Re: Current conditions in Squamish

Angels Crest was fully dry on Saturday, despite the sun not hitting it at any point during the day.

Is that fixed line still hanging off of Humpty Dumpty? Anyone notice recently?

Habrich Approach (again)

Just wondering what the current status on the road is these days..... Can you drive all the way up to the trailhead, or is there a gate or boulder blockade now?
Couldn't find the other thread.
Info would be very helpful.

Re: Current conditions in Squamish

Grand Wall drys very quickly, only wet area should be the move to the belay at the top of Merci Me, and maybe one or two at the start of the traverse. Will definitely be good to go by tomorrow.

Re: Kids Zone: Call to Diggers

I bouldered a couple lines there when I had some down time one evening. If folks want to pad the base and treat it as a highball, then that's cool, but I don't think they are worth putting anchors in and setting ropes up on. Kids are pretty fearless, especially when they are the age this area is des...

Rock On Dry?

I've only ever climbed Rock On once during the dry period last summer, and was wondering if it would dry out pretty quick after the recent rains? Or is there going to be a lot of runoff and seepage there? I'm just not sure if it needs an entire winters worth of water to stay wet. Looking to possibly...

Re: multipitch recommendations

Rock On is super awesome, but personally I felt that one pitch was quite tricky for the grade.
