I had a long talk with robin about his anchors. He agreed that I could share what he told me. I also suggested that he share his point of view publicly, but he he didn't wish to. first, his brother is an acknowledged anchor expert. his cv is here: http://www.sbmasystems.com/anchorman/html/technical....

Sully's on thursday late afternoon

erg--it's too hot for the gym and i like to get out at least once during the week--it's a great boost for the big stuff on the weekends.

Sullys is a fun, shady place to put away the gear and clip some bolts. I lead to 5.11, am free from 4pm this thursday, have a car, rope and draws.

not as of last week when i climbed the route. The tree is easily bypassed by a few delicate 5.9 moves below it. There is no need to climb through the tree. It also seems to be firmly attached by its roots. An annual pruning would go a long way to keeping it healthy and maintaining the stability of t...

Riel, as you can read above, the land is not public land. Your camping there threatens access to us all. Please do the right thing. If the owners of the land read this, please evict them, or, even better, create a proper campground there. As a long-time squamish climber, I do not condone the actions...

Well done. let's keep this report top and center.

It would help if a synopsis of the recommendations in the report were included in the executive summary.

The new price structure helps reduce impacts on the campsite by limiting the number of tents on one site--there is no value in crowding onto a site because each additional tent, person or party of two adds another $10 to the fee. No more tents spilling off the platforms onto the fragile surroundings...

the water is potable. all the filters are now in place and are awaiting final inspection by the authorities. I have been drinking the water for years with no ill effects, even before the new additional filters were installed. The campground is relatively free of theft. Cars in the the loggers lane p...

hey jeffski - here's a thought. purchase an alarm clock and wake up early. you can buy them at the dollar store. i can spot you if you're hard up for cash. like other people have said, it's a sunny weekend and you can expect to see lots of people on these routes. stop your whining and go climb some...
