From the top of Birds of Prey walk climber's right about 10 metres. Look for the sign indicating the easy way down--i think it says "hiking route". It goes to the left and crosses the gully high up before descending. If you are coming off Great Game or Jungle Warfare, you will need to climb up to ac...

I'm sorry for your tumble, but there is now a new easier walk off from the top of birds of prey. if you finished on jungle warcrap then you have to head uphill to access it.

hope you feel better soon.

and that's why this poll doesn't contribute to discussing or resolving the very real issues at hand. Glenn IMHO, there are no real issues. Good people have been developing/creating/cleaning routes for years. Jer should feel free to continue to do as he wants (which is, I hope, to put up more great ...

Memorial at the base of the Grand Wall

Today I noticed a few rocks piled at the base of the Grand, with RIP etched into one of the rocks. Does anybody have any information on this memorial?

Thanks.

The first time I was at the lower malamute was with Anders before it was illegal. I'll deny any other forays, but mostly I suspect the pot is calling the kettle black on both references, hehe.

Given that the lower malamute is permanently closed, i'm not sure what the negative consequences would be on the climbing community if a few individuals climbed there.

I'm always amazed at people who complain about climbs--too bold, too many bolts, too clean, too dirty. I thank route developers for giving more choices about where to climb and only curse the one who put the good holds out of arms reach. Mother nature can be a real b%$ch, but you guys are great.

Re: Good Job

I climbed all 5 pitches of wire tap last weekend. Nice climb. You did a great cleaning job. In regard to the bolts, I believe the first two bolts on pitch 3 are not needed. A number 2 camalot fit beautifully. however, the 3rd bolt is needed, as the crack there would not take a piece easily and the m...

Calcuclus crack accident

I read about an accident that happened on Calculus crack. I hope the injured party is ok.

An article in the Chief, says he was on the first section of the climb, probably the very first pitch in the trees.
