Re: Stawamus River climbers camp mess

Municipal land, crown land, private land..... It's a moot point and irrelevant to the issue. If any would be campers decide to set up camp so close to a residential area and the locals don't like it, the camp gets shut down. Thats a pretty slippery slope there, and I dont agree with it. Crown land ...

There are parcels of municipal and crown around the river. Municipal land, crown land, private land..... It's a moot point and irrelevant to the issue. Re: STOLEN GEAR FOUND - Hoping to find rightful owner

I haven't seen a lot of reports of car break-ins latley but the police say there was one last week. JULY 5, 2012 Squamish RCMP are seeking the public’s help in the theft of a laptop computer, several backpacks containing climbing gear and a passport from a vehicle parked in the Stawamus Chief parki...

Re: Stawamus River climbers camp mess

Ughh, This is bad. This person's letter has shattered my idealized image of climbers as a fraternity of like-minded people who love the outdoors and tread softly because they want to be good stewards of the environment. Seriously? So you think the sh*t of your fellow climbers don't stink? Literally...

Re: Trees Cut at Pet Wall

You do realize that the entire base of Pet wall was treed and logged once before, right. Or did you think the 15m to 20 m treeless zone adjacent to the wall was natural? Lets not forget the entire Smoke bluffs have been logged twice and burnt once. With trees routinely logged from under the power l...

Re: VOC Longhike warning Sept 29th and 30th

Thanks for the heads up. So long as you don't park your top-ropes on routes and leave them there all day, there won't be any problems. If a leader requests to climb a route you've got a rope on, it's proper etiquette to allow them to pull your rope, lead the climb and reset your top-rope for you aft...

Re: Krimo Gold a new route in the Bulletheads

The photoshopped edit of the guidebook is a bit misleading as it is NOT written by Marc Bourdon. True, I made the topo. First 2 pitches link together with out too much difficulty and lots of long slings at 10b and its 55m. Awesome! Originally I had the top of pitch one end at the far left end...

Re: Krimo Gold a new route in the Bulletheads

A little back ground: First the name. The “Gold” bit is in reference to the fact that this is a variation to the established route Liquid Gold. “Krimo” Is the nick name of my friends Kristen Wurtele and Remo Trovato. I created and named this route in their honor and gave it to them as a wedding gift...

Bulletheads new route question.

Curious if anyone has the beta on a new pitch 2 variation on Bulletheads East. It's to the left of the pitch 2.
Thanks.
