can't wait! love that part of the walls...

I must agree though, that any cleaning/trundling should ideally be accompanied by rain and/or night, and without exception notice posted at any and all trails accessing the area - the amount of climbers who visit this page is virtually nil.

That's exactly what the guy at the climbing counter at MEC told me - all the hardwear went up in price just over two weeks ago due to the weak CDN dollar compared to the Euro

Seconding the motion for some care to be given to the fixed lines on the lower North North Arete... they are a horrible manky mess, with half-eaten through cords, and even (for some unknown reason...) alpine butterflies for hand knots at some points that are close to flipping through. Being a hundre...

I placed my last piece of gear about 2 meters before the end of the belly crawl - I was all out of anything big enough at that point. Long runners and all, still a fair bit of drag. Hard pulling, but mostly tough on the ol' rope - she was retired last week though. Goodbye Ruth!

From a trip report on cascadeclimbers, on July 7th: The bypass glacier, which was our main safety concern on the trip, had mostly slid away. The portion that remained was about 20 meters from front to back and 80 meters left to right. The problem was that a portion was sitting entirely on the 3rd cl...

I've definitely had times where threading both the rope and a biner through one of Robin's links is impossible. Other than that, having the new insight you've just provided jefffski, Robin's anchors sound great. In the past, having trusted them less as they appear a little shady, I was always noneth...

Climbed Wonderland on the Smoke Bluffs Wall today, belaying off the bolts above the final wide-hand crack after the belly-crawl ledge. The left bolt is a loose tooth.

Ton of rope drag having the bolts that far back from the edge too, probably better to use the tree there anyway...

Did the route today - what a blast! The beginning, cruxy section of pitch 2 is really nice, and the third pitch is also stellar. The grades seem pretty spot on to me. I believe I clipped 14 bolts on the 3rd pitch, where the topo says 13? glad I had the extra, which I planned on clipping the anchors ...

This is one I've been planning on getting on for eons, the adventurousness of it and McLane's obvious fondness for it in his description are tantalizing.... however, the prospect of mucho dirto has kept me short on partners. Love to hear your recent experience...

Hi Greg head into Climb On when you get into town (on 2nd ave. downtown Squamish, across from the big Shopper's Drug Mart - downtown is small) and pick yourself up a copy of Squamish Select. It will detail everything you are looking for. also, search for old threads on this board, as this question h...

Riel, I'm glad you were able to enjoy such a wonderful summer, and I applaud your impromptu community's efforts in maintaining a clean 'campground' and fire ban. However, I am glad that the tent city is folding itself up and moving. Because of the high visibility and profile of the area, larger grou...

Want to Trade Arc'teryx R320 Medium for Small

Have an Arc'Teryx R320 Harness in medium, used maybe 6 times, hoping to find someone with a small in similar condition who wants to trade up. Maybe you found that the leg loops on your small don't fit over your skipants comfortably?
