Sorry Slopr, it was not my intention to call any local "anal," just the habit of being overprotective of your own land. That said, I do believe that camping illegally in a very visible spot for more than a night is dumb.

Don't you just love how anal locals get when they talk about their precious and sacred "private land." One would almost think that they've rightfully bought it according to the contemporary real-estate procedures as outlined by our great friend Columbus.

Optimally-Primed: talk is cheap, action is not. Very true. Unfortunately I left Squamish for the next couple of months and since I can't do sh*t in Squamish, all the rants about cougars, dogs, children, big groups, small slow groups, possible knife-fights, annoying tick-marks (no doubt made by gobli...

all right, first of all, sorry Steve J, I took some cheap personal shots at you and that was uncool and not nice. And stupid since one should not offend strangers (with guns) Also, I didn't want to intensify the hate against dogs, their owners, children, and any other groups, that's not productive G...

You're old Steve J. Tell you what, how about we collect all the cougar sh*t and dog sh*t we can find in Squamish. I'll eat the cougar sh*t pile, you eat the dog sh*t pile. And now perhaps something constructive to this shit-conversation: whether or not you love shooting big cats, isn't it weird ther...

The "climber's" price in Waterworld (the camping ground closest to the crag I think) went up to 8$ a person. I seem to remember that it used to be 5. But you get hot showers and a hot tub (open till 10pm) for that. A cheaper option is the BC camp ground in Okanagan Falls, 19$ for 4 people, could be ...

We were in Check last Thursday. The Circus is dry, and the week before that, when it didn't rain at all, everything was dry (obviously) and no snow left at all. Somehow there are even some loose chickens in the parking lot. Not quite sure how they got there.
