It's further west than Ronan's West and not split beaver. When you're at the base or on the route you can literally look over to the east at Ronin's Corner about a rope length away. I don't think it sees much action - and it's atypical for Squamish Bluffs climbing, consisting of a blocky formation t...

beta and grade for route in Bluffs

Climbed part of a route in the Bluffs yesterday, located at the crag between Ronin's Corner and the stairs that lead down to Penny Lane etc. The route is on the right side of a series of routes, one of which is a 5.11 arete and the other is a 5.12 - both are bolted. The one we were on begins in a co...

What's the deal with those home-made chain anchors plastered all over the Apron? You know the ones consisting of a chain between two offset bolts, one of which has a hanger and the other just has a washer that keeps the chain in place? I can't think of any that are in 'bad' shape but if SAS is going...

3rd pitch of Dream On (10d leading up to overlap) had some old, rusty quarter inch bolts. Also, from what I remember the anchor after the crux 11b pitch on Unfinished Symphony consisted of some dicey old bolts with spinning hangers. And then there is the old rap station at the top of the Acrophobes ...

pj, it's been cold in Squamish lately so a better time for ice climbing or skiing. But you can climb almost year-round in Squamish if you're hungry/desperate enough for it.

Yawn.... WTF? Anyone been out climbing?

This forum always seems to crash and burn during the winter. It would almost suggest that no one's out climbing, but we all know that's not the case. So somebody, for the love of god, tell us what you've been up to besides pulling the proverbial pud praying for the rock to dry, the snow to fall, or ...

Skaha camping thread: http://www.squamishclimbing.com/squamish_climbing_bb/viewtopic.php?t=2142&highlight=skaha+camping I've camped up Carmi road and at Waterworld years ago (which sucked). Also camped in the hills south of Skaha lake at the end of a cul-de-sac in a development that had roads put in...

whos dru? only probably the smartest damn person on here  if you don't already know, you will soon... Yes, if you ever see a guy at the crags with a gigantic brain it'll be Dru. He has a difficult time with chimneys because his head is so freaking big but is otherwise a fine climber. http://w...

Re: Crappy forecast!

Is it going to rain for the rest of the summer!?:( yes it is going for the rest of the summer - in fact, it's going to rain until next JULY. This is what happens to those who stay in Squamish beyond the 3-week window of good weather: http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/05/entertainment_...

No this was a separate incident that happened within the last few days involving a fall from the anchor at the top of the route Neat and Cool.

Hopefully I'm misinformed.
