I would like to express my support for the canadian forces coming to Squamish. Since they have been here their conduct has been outstanding. They have helped with trail building in the bluffs, they have helped in an emergency situation, helped fix old anchors and have kept their impact to a minimum....

Upper Black Dyke
Hi Guys, I climbed the grand to belly good a few days ago and took a look at the upper black dyke. (Still wet obviously) Have you finished cleaning the route yet or just bolted it and cleaned off the loose rock? The reason I ask is that it is filthy dirty and either since you finished cleaning it ha...

Special Forces Club - Fixed Draws.
Could the person who took one of my draws from Special Forces Club (Up at Chek) Please return it, either to the climb or me directly. Alternatively you could drop it off at Climb On and I will pick it up. I don't want to get into an online ethics debate about what is and is not booty, but it was ver...

Returning Gear - Grand Wall
Yesterday (25th June) there was a minor accident on the Grand Wall. The American couple involved left some gear as they retreated. I pulled the gear and went to the Hospital to return it to them but they had already left for home. If you know these guys please help me return their gear to them. Just...

I did the route two summers ago and it is a little gem hidden away back there. The route requires gear but has bolts hidden in the wide chasm so no monster sized peices required. The first pitch has a 5.10 variation....avoid it and go direct, it's better quality rock and pefect fingers. The second i...

Photo idea!
I agree with everyone about getting the photo section of the website sorted, as it seems to have died after the layout changed. I have another suggestion that that might fly... Could it be possible to start generating photos by route, i.e Climbers can log in with their photos of the routes as they d...

Do not bolt it...it would be a crime! If people need to rest they can take on gear or build a station....but please don't bolt it. I climbed it two days ago and the grade of 10c seems right, no move is harder than 10a/b. Also, you can no hands rest at either fat section low down or higher taking the...

Feedback
Brian I completed both routes today. You asked for my impressions of the routes: Sunshine breakfast; I agree with 5.9 and the crux is totally protected with a #3. off the first ledge The route was easy to find with your description so many thanks. Very cool cave/chasm and then out onto the face. The...

Sunshine Breakfast & Everything under the sun.
I am planning to climb 'Everything under the sun' (EUTS) and am wondering if it is possible to climb Sunshine Breakfast first and then walk up and north to the top of EUTS and rap in? If not...what is the best approach to EUTS. I am also interested in any further info on Sunshine Breakfast, other wh...

Brendan,
Maybe you should e-mail their pictures to the Montreal Gyms with a little note saying that they are not welcome back to Squamish.... unless it is acceptable to crap where ever in Montreal as long as you have limited time....

The Split
The most offensive thing in this post is the line ..... "they shat in the pillar" Passing can be a problem and annoying but shitting in the back of one of the most classic lines in Squamish is totally offensive. I have been up there twice in the last few weeks and the stench is terrible..large brown...
