Interestingly around half the climbs he did in Squamish he found soft and most all of them at Horne he thought were soft. It's not like I've climbed in hundreds of different areas, but the 10-12 that I have visited seem to indicate the softness of Squamish grades. For a while I put that up to the f...

Climbed it on Thursday with no one around. I found it to be great value, consistent for the grade, clean as a whistle, and so much better than any of the other approaches. Thanks for putting that up! A few friends climbed it on Sunday and waited in line for 2 hours at the first pitch of CC proper. A...

Thanks for the quick replies. The longer range weather forecast is starting to look a bit grim. Maybe my week long trip will end up being only 3 days instead.

I'll be there on Thursday for my annual week in Squampton and thought that CC would be a great warm up to get back onto Squamish granite. I'm confused as to where the new start is. Do I climb the tree pull/easy rock pitch or does it start at the bottom of the tree pull pitch?

Would you seriously use a 'biner that had been dropped from the top of a pitch? Or are you going to reuse it for kayaking or something?

That cave has claimed more than one. Many years ago my buddy Dan and his buddy Carlos were descending in the dark when Carlos walked off the edge of that cave feature. Nasty accident.

Having said that, I've always enjoyed the adventure factor of that feature.

Am I ever behind the times! When did we start leaving fixed draws on climbs? Seems lame to me.

I prefer to avoid the whole issue by either making sure I'm first on the route or there are options for switching routes higher up. If one wants to climb AC without the hassle of passing then get there *early*. If you do come up behind someone then be prepared to bail or to climb at a reduced speed....

Now that the top-ropers have wrecked it, you might as well have a run at Flying Circus.

OK, I'll comment...

Don't put the climber in the middle of the frame. Look up the "rule of thirds". It'll make your photos much more interesting.

Keep at and do some research. You'll be taking magazine shots in no time.

Strange that Slayer got it to work but I get a 404 error when clicking on "subscribe". I wasn't able to subscribe through google reader, either. No big deal. I'll just keep checking back. I like what you got going on, tho.
