Wait a minute, I thought the boulder blockade was impassible. What, do you have some kind of monster truck or something?
Nope just a Jeep. Never under estimate a Jeep with a skilled driver.

Well, I drove over the boulder blockade and made it as far as the memorial for the three chaps. The road beyond there is a lost cause. There is a washout section that is only three feet or so wide and heavly overgrown. They have started logging on the north side of habrich as of three weeks ago, so ...

Yeah me too.

I will go for a drive and look at the boulder blockade. I still want to get to km 10 of the red road to see where the road is impassable (bridge out), so I may do both and will report back on Monday.

I am unsure as I was wondering that myself when looking at the peaks. You are looking at about an hour of bush whacking to the base of each (as I dont know where the access trail is and this is a complete estimate) before that though you need to cross the Stawamus river. Which when the water levels ...

Made it to Km 8 before a mechanical in one of the vechicles turned us around. You need a 4x4 just for a couple of the grades but other then that the road is in great shape. Was cool to finally be able to stand and look directly at Habrich and Sky Pilot. Hit snow at km 6 or so as an FYI.

I know that they are doing an excellant job with the trail system. I ran into a chap that was working on the upper Smoke Bluff loop trail. He was saying that it should be finished in a couple of months. The area is looking great.

I believe in over hearing other conversations that you can rap with a single 70 but it is a hassle. Better to take a tag line and get off faster and with more ease.

Nope, dont go there on weekends.

If it is notorius for break-ins then people should prepare for that before going there i.e. nothing left in the vehicle.

1. Squamish, Skaha, Bugaboos, Newfoundland east/west/south coast. That could be 6 I guess! 2. I live in Squamish so makes it easy to climb there! The long season and multitude of climbing areas is beyond any other place in Canada. 3. For crack climbing, very high up there. The south coast of Newfoun...
