Generally, i believe wearing a helmet is an excellent idea. you can never be too safe. Although I understand the issue of comfort. It's a personal decisions. There are some single pitch sportclimbs out there that are kind of sketchy when it comes to falling, especially when it involves swinging in an...

That really sucks that there are people out there that do that. Does it matter what type of biners they are? I'm in the area often, if i get a chance, I don't mind donating or even buying some. :)

Checked out those routes last saturday. I'll have to say, I enjoyed them very much. The rock is very textured and the climbs vary quite a bit in holds which is great. Slab is always fun. A Bachelors' Life Memorial Arete 5.9+ was pretty straightforward, big jugs til you get to the top which is a litt...

crashpad for sale!

I'm selling this crash pad. http://www.metoliusclimbing.com/behemoth_pad.htm I bought a few months ago and I've only used it 2-3 times. I bought it at MEC for about $300 including tax. It's in excellent condition. The only reason I'm selling it now is 2 fold, 1 I need the money for other things that...

If the last update date is accurate on the topo page, then I believe it's time to print another copy. Just a small suggestion, maybe include the update date on the topo pages themselves? i can't remember exactly when I printed the last one out  Thanks guys. :)

I'll have to agree with meingh and peter, when soloing starts putting people in danger, either the soloist themselves, which is usually the case or another climber nearby, then this is borderline irresponsible, irrespectful and jsut plain idiotic. If you want to solo, then do it far away from others...

Try the Sanctuary. Any of these areas are only 15 mins difference in driving time from going to Chek. Are you that pressed for time? Thanks MCpl. Honestly, yeah most weekend i'm pretty much pressed for time. Have too many things going on, have to prioritize my schedule so i can get more climbing ti...
