Re: Borderline Rappel Beta

I had to rap a few years ago into the north gully from angel's crest due to a thunder storm and would not recommend it unless you absolutely have to. It's not awesome. Nearly all the raps we had rocks and things coming with the ropes each time we pulled them.

Re: No more Squamish Mountain Festival

Such a shame, the trail day among others was an event I looked forward to every year. Getting dirty, meeting some new people, and doing a little good for the community. Are there any plans to have a trail day and some of the other events without the festival? A replacement festival perhaps? Other sp...

No more Squamish Mountain Festival

Looks like all good things come to an end :( I'm super disappointed about this, it was an event I would look forward to each year for the trail day and all the events. Anyone have any inside info on why this it is no more? Smallman or SAS crew?

Scrubbing happening in Chek area?

I stumbled upon a couple project lines at a possible new area around chek. A friend mentioned the area to me as an abandoned wall from a few years ago, she said the guy who started on it had to go back to Australia as his work permit ran out. I decided to follow her directions and take a look at thi...

Re: Honnold solos U-Wall?

He couldn't have done it on that day, August 26th, as he left squamish the day after his birthday as far as I know to do the North Face speaker series tour. http://www.thenorthface.com/en_CA/get-o ... er-series/ Could have done it before his birthday I guess.

Re: The new Robin Barley guidebook.

I must say I enjoyed the "give me a large enough lever and I'll lift the world" in response to people pulling the staples out of the rock. Plus the testing description was a good read.
