Ya the prices all got jacked about 2 weeks ago. GriGri's $93.

The only thing in the whole store that went down was the BD nut tool. $10 to $8.

Some of the other shops around haven't followed suit yet though and MEC will price match as long as it is the reg. advertised price. So keep your eyes open.

New Routes - Chuck Chuck

"Pull fatboy! Pull!" 11- 7 bolts + anchors. Far right side of the crag. Steep and fun. Still a bit gritty but get on it anyway. It's worth it. As far as the grade, I think it is around 11a/b but my gradar is off. I've been working Muffin Tops all summer and not actually doing much climbing. So if yo...

The nuts don't generally tend to "Back off" the nuts loosen because the studs themselves are creeping out. Hence the "crux" bolts usuallly are the ones that loosen first.

Locktight can't hurt but probably won't solve the problem and the shite is expensive.

I climbed it a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty hard for 10d. I did it after I did "My one muscle" and thought that "muscle" was the easier of the two.

I would bump it up a notch or two. Great line regardless of the grade. I really enjoyed it. Good eye.

The bolt on the easy ground before the first belay on the first pitch of Hairpin was there before I cleaned it. I wasn't sure what it's purpose was but it was old and rusty so I just replaced it. It has since been removed. The bolts nearby Limbo are for Survival enhancement. Great pitch if you haven...

Contest it all you want but next time I get back up there it is going back. If it gets removed again I'm going to go back and reclaim every piece of hardware that I put into the Papoose. Then you guys can go back to doing the same 2 damn routes that everyone did before I cleaned it.

It's not that bad but the waterbars are back. I have been driving my Corolla up there and it is super low. It is, however, also 4wd. Subarus and other AWD vehicles don't seem to be having any issues.

Not that I care either way, but how does a set of top anchors prevent anyone from soloing the boulder?

Chuck Chuck - Toilet

There is now a very spacious outhouse at the Chuck Chuck creek crags. We'll probably spruce it up a bit over the summer but it is fully functional as of yesterday. You'll find it just off the road on the way to the Inner Sanctum. It is BYOTP until I get up there again and drop off a few rolls. PLEAS...

Nice. Funny, the first thing I said to myself when I went there was "why isn't there a route right there" it seemed to be an obvious line.

Looking forward to getting on it. I finally got a chance to do some of the others and I was impressed.
