Re: Squamish Select Top 100

I wondered about Rocky Horror - is it worthwhile? I assumed Marc has deliberately tried to push at least something from every area ... which is sensible enough really ... encourage people to try new areas and ease congestion at the popular spots. Yes, there are lots of ways of writing it I suppose....

Re: Squamish Select Top 100

I wondered how it was put together though, I assume he wanted a good spread of grades over a good spread of areas. Otherwise, why else would you include Rocky Horror ...

Snake on the Apron last night had a couple of damp patches, but no show stoppers.

Anyone know if Rock On will be dry, or is the South Gully no go for a while yet?

Been to Copper Cove Recently?

I went for a look today and lots of the bolts look kind of manky. I wasn't there to climb, just wanted to see the place. The topo is dated 2000, and being a Brit and therefore pretty familiar with the vagaries of fixed anchors by the sea, I'm not sure I could bring myself to lobbing on a 12 year old...

Re: Current conditions in Squamish

Back to Murrin today. Unsurprisingly pretty much everything is dry at Sugarloaf and almost nothing is dry at Zoe.

Is Pete coming too Tom? Are you touring the NW? You should check out Index while you're in the area.

Re: The Return of the Babysitter Route?

It does illustrate how easy it is for equipment like that to age quickly and still be thought of as legitimate safety gear by the community at large. Kris Wild When you say theyve aged quickly, have you inspected them then? I'm not sure what's been illustrated, a year is nothing really for a fixed ...

Polaris Fixed Ropes

I read on the UKClimbing.com logbook for Polaris that back in July 2012 there were fixed ropes on it. http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/c.php?i=231367 Anyone know if they are still there? Can they be used to solo some or all of it perhaps (conditions permitting of course)? I haven't been on the rout...
