Climbed wire tap today! I was a little surprised to see the cracks bolted? The odd bolt is needed but a lot of bolting is next to good placements. I fully respect the amount of time, effort and money that was put into the area but It will be a sad day in Squamish when bolting cracks becomes normal.....

There used to be a boulder that you started on and it was washed away two years ago during heavy snowmelt. You could clip the bolt from the boulder. Now it is a much harder unprotected start. The best option is to clip one rope on rap, giving you a mini top rope when you pull your ropes or..... simp...

It has gone free above the belay at 10d as part of the route Gauntlet. I know at least a half dozen others who have freed/onsighted it. The crack above takes protection and the bolt is high enough that a fall from the crux would still be safe. Look up the other route on www.quickdrawpublications.com...
