Re: Retro Scrub - The Ghost
Hi Brendan, The Ghost is harder than the Oracle. The Oracle has two cruxes, one low down so your still fresh and one mid height with a rest before. The Ghost has three cruxes with one right at the end. Both are great lines but Oracle is an easier on-sight. Bunny Foo Foo (The direct version, from the...

Baby Bum - Bringing life back to the 80s
I have installed anchors at the top of "Baby Bum" and cleaned the exit so if you enjoy vicious roof cracks please add it to your list. Before I get slammed...I asked P.Croft's permission to install the two bolt anchor. To get there: Park at Shannon Falls and head towards Sky Walker, about 100m up hi...

Retro Scrub - The Ghost
I recently gave "The Ghost" at Pet Wall a scrub as it had grown a thick black cloak! I also upgraded the anchors with chains. It is one of the best single pitch gear lines in Squamish...please enjoy.

Re: Alpine rock in North Joffre creek
Hey Bruce, The snow had melted back from the ridge and the going was basically 5.0/4th class! No Boots or Axe. I climbed part way on the Central Pillar of Joffre a few years ago, the route to the right of the Flavelle/lane but turned around as the rock was really poor/we had a whole ledge collapse o...

Re: Alpine rock in North Joffre creek
Brendan, Pitch One: "Mouse that Roared" Into "Mighty Mouse" with the "Dumb All Over" variation at pitch4 We decided to climb what ever looked best once we got to the ledges. All the variations looked clean The detailed topo does not show past pitch six but it keeps going for another 5 (ish) pitches ...

Re: Alpine rock in North Joffre creek
Hi Bruce, I climbed your route yesterday. We did the direct start - 10d, clean and good pro or bolts. We climbed the entire line clean/onsight including the ridge at the top. I wanted to see how it connected to other peaks back there. Its a long day from Squamish and back but worth it. Thanks for es...

Infinite Decibels, retro scrubbed.
Hi, I recently cleaned up Infinite Decibels at Murrin Park. (5.12c- sport), Directly across from the parking lot next to Vultures Circling. Be warned it is stiff for the grade, Feels the same as Vultures! I also cleaned up the base so all the bushes and trees are gone, It should be a comfy spot to f...

Re: Wall of Attrition ??
The first three pitches are okay and the grade is right...but after the long corner the rest is not worth climbing, loose, dirty and the last pitch to bellygood is poorly protected. I have climbed it but would not climb it again. There are 1000's of better routes. If you really want to climb it take...
