Falcons nesting on the flats above Perry's. Last year south gully. Seems to me that the falcons have been on the move since Europa got built.

Wonder if it was worth it?

Hope they get a couple little ones to fledge.

Everything is very wet at the moment. Doesn't look to good to me for this weekend. It does seep from the base of the third pitch but other wise dries out relatively quickly.

Its standard to wrap your car in chicken wire at the bugs parking. Just spoke to a dude who said it was so busy that he really had to scrounge for chicken wire. Might be worth donating some.

For the person looking to get their sister to Van by friday evening: I heard from a reasonable source that local heli companies have a special from Squamish to Vancouver for 99$ during the highway closure. Worth a phone call anyway.

The MF pitches above bellygood are fun. There are two pitches that can be strung together in about 58 meters of climbing. A bit of choss in the middle but mostly good face climbing with a fun 10+ move near the top. This then accesses a ledge with a few other cool lines that lead to gold medal ribbon...

OK, I stand corrected. I was pretty sure about that too. With most of the rangers layed off at the present I figured it was just that the website hadn't been updated. I got nothing against the route. Glad the cleaning job is over. Also glad to know that we can climb in the dihedrals area for the sho...

Just a reminder that Europa/Crap Crags passes right through the heart of the falcon closure area (south of black dyke, north of freeway mar 31 to july 31 above 4 pitches in height- remember). Saw two parties on there yesterday who looked to be topping out. Pretty sure this route passes right through...

Hey
I'm free after about the 23 of October. Anyone interested in escaping the rains for a week or so? Was thinking Yosemite but Smith could be good too.

not that you'd expect it to be dry now since the monsoons have reuturned... I was up in the south gulley last friday (before any significant rain) and mercy street was still seeping pretty good (running almost). Just for reference. 2 weeks of hot dry weather isn't enough to dry that thing out. too b...

I would expect it to be wet or at least seeping. I did it some years ago in august after a dry summer and there was still some wet in part of it. money pitch was pretty clean though.

let us know if you go check it out...

Could be a bit early. Likely still snow in the forest below the SW face. when we did it snow in the forest was firm and definitely made the final bit of the approach (from the road to the rock) easier than walking through bush. As well, if the route is dry and the approach isn't an isothermal wallow...
