I don't disagree with you at all, Brendan. Actually, everyone has made some good points on the topic; its interesting to hear each person's view. Group hug?

If you find something, it has been lost by someone . By choosing to not check the relevant forums(ie: this one, cascadeclimbers, rc.com, etc) you are still making a choice to keep something that someone may be looking for. Not saying that's right or wrong, but it's still a choice you make. Ignorance...

Is that a trick question?

I mark bootied gear with a different color tape than the rest of my rack. If I'm leading through a super-sketchy spot where I wouldn't want to fall on gear that I didn't "100 percent" trust, I don't place that gear. For the most part, though, I treat it as part of my regular rack.

Playing "finders-keepers" is the easy way out, especially if you have a chance to return the gear(ie-see a post identifying it). People don't leave gear on purpose and they're probably pretty bummed about losing it, so I'd rather give it back than count their bad luck as my good luck. If I can't loc...

Although it was super hard(for me), and I had to pathetically flail and hangdog my way up, it was an enjoyable line that I'd like to work as a project; that's why I was hoping that somebody had a more info about its name and rating.

Well, I wouldn't know what a 12a feels like, having never (knowingly) gotten on one, but I'll take your word for it.
Thanks, Dru.

August Jack Motor Inn has rooms w/kitchenettes. I've not stayed there, so can't say how good/bad the place is..but might be worth a look in your search. http://augustjack.bcmotels.com/

The Squamish Inn is a great option if you want a roof over your head. Nicely situated close to climbing and shopping venues. They have a big community kitchen so you can cook your own meals and rub elbows w/fellow travelling climbers(seems to be 90 percent of their clientele), internet access, etc. ...

What's the deal with that guy? I always see him soloing around Burgers and Fries when there are guides out with newbies.
I wondered the same thing.

That's the one.

Glad you mentioned this...I was wondering about the freshly scrubbed slab on the main trail there, between the Zip and the road. It's the one with the blasting holes. Looks like someone has done an incredible amount of work there. Is it ok to toprope or is it still a project(I noticed red tape on on...

I'm rolling into town on Monday afternoon...4pm-ish?..could be up for some cragging at the Bluffs to shake out the long-drive cobwebs. Might also be available Tues or Wed, depending on whether my partner shows. I'll check my PM's once I arrive. I have rack/rope. Lead 8's, follow 10's. Take care, She...
