Its a good thing there are a lot of people watching what meingh climbs and keeping tabs on what he says about them. If not the next thing he might say is that Pulse is 12a.

I was reading in the latest Rock & Ice, "Tips on bolting". One of the things they say to do is paint/laquer the bolts and hangers a "rock tone" before putting them in. I'm guessing that the reason behind this is so that the rock will look more "natural". But really. Is that effort of any use?? When ...

How did you come to that "guess"? Perhaps it was when you were standing on the ground while trying to imagine how difficult the moves are after the second bolt? I suppose that could hold some validation to your "guess".

I got on it and felt that it was harder than 5.12-
Very bouldery at the start and a lot of the moves where close to being out of my reach (I'm 5'8").

I second what Pete L. said. Fun, casual climbing on a well bolted route to an awesome view. My choice for multi-pitch in Chek.

I got on both (Mike's Link 2 and Sandford's un-named).

Mike's Link 2 felt a lot easier than Sandford's line. I'm going to say that Mike's Link is 5.12b. Its difficulty was like "The Reach Around".

Actually, it is left of Sate Le Hate and it shares the same first bolt as Sandford's un-named route.

The first three bolts to Sate Le Hate are used in "Mike's Link 2".

Does anyone have beta on the featured problems? I'm talking like extra pads, bad landings to watch for, do only in colder temps, etc.

Are you asking if it is more acceptable to modify the rock if it makes the route harder?
