Re: New Start to Cerberus

Did the route on Monday. Quite a fun way to get into Cerberus. The pump on the first pitch is killer though! Awesome line.

Evil Stinging Insects on Incredible Journey

There is a Evil Stinging Insect nest on Incredible Journey, it is just to the left of the route exactly where you want to go for the rest before the last crux. It provided quite the thrill realizing when I moved over to that rest I put my hand on a hold and my arm was quickly covered in Evil Stingin...

Lost- Guidebook

A buddy of mine lost his guidebook recently. His name is written in black sharpie on the inside leaf of the front cover. If you've found a guidebook take a look, it has his name and number. He would like to get it back. :D

A little bit more info on this unfortunate accident. Sounds like Optimally-Primed had the right idea.

Squamish Deep Water Soloing?

So I was just perusing climbing.com and there was an interesting article about DWS in North America. Low and behold it mentions squamish. I had no idea there was an DWS here but it would be a fun way to enjoy those scorcher days. Anyone have any beta? Ever checked it out? For those interested the ar...

Re: Falcon Closure Update

Hey all, I was the one that sent in the pictures and report of the falcons to Katy. I did Borderline last Sunday and the juvenilles were nesting to the right of the second 10d pitch, pitch 6. There was three juveniles there making quite a racket especially when we tried to talk. Made finding out if ...

Re: Best guide and kid friendly crags

Hi Mark, The best guide for squamish these days is "Squamish Select" by Mark Bourdon. As for the kid friendly areas Chekamus canyon is likely the most friendly. As it is the busy season the place is a zoo on the weekends, but mid-week you can spread out a little easier. As with all climbing there is...

Re: Sunset Strip horror show

Climbed about 60-70% of the route, we climbed the gauntlet pitches instead and finished on sunset strip as the last two pitches of the gauntlet had us perplexed route finding. From what we climbed it was enjoyable with the exception of the chimney, I'm a terrible chimney climber, but that has nothin...

Re: Sacrilege - Chekamus

I've definitely been there when people are coming down and understand Brock's concern but I don't think cutting the bolts is necessary. A walk off would be a great way of dealing with it but may cause some debris to be knocked down elsewhere. Rapping the route does seem the easiest way to avoid all ...
