Re: Is Squamish Soft?
I was still down at the base. That's why it was so funny; because from down below, it just looked like a ledge with two legs sticking out of it.
I doubt he heard me laughing, but he could probably hear me cheering him on. Does that make a difference?

Re: Is Squamish Soft?
Depends on how you look at it. It's great to go out and get on something that tests you, but I think it's also important that you have fun while doing it. I got stuck in a squeeze chimney once. For an hour. Hated it while it was happening, cause it sucked. Some people walked by and gave me some poin...

Re: Is Squamish Soft?
Wow. I wasn't laughing at the person struggling to climb it. Good on them for going for it! I've had my share of flailing on that climb as well, and it was only through much perseverance that I actually managed to climb it. But come on. Tell me that you can not possibly picture what appears to be a ...

Wow, why so serious?
Good to know climbing doesn't affect people's sense of humour.

Re: Psyche ledge party
Luke, make sure you bring your hauling system, just in case Relic can't climb his way up there. Think we'll be able to fit everyone on the ledge? Might have to be more of a meet, greet, and get out of the way so the next person can come up.

Re: Is Squamish Soft?
Haha, I did the Grand yesterday as well, after deciding against Freeway. We had a late start though; around two, so managed to avoid the traffic jam that was clogging everything up. Down around Apron Strings somewhere, I was killing myself laughing watching someone seconding the Sword. At the crux, ...

Heads Up - Loose Bolt on Freeway Anchor
Climbed the first two pitches of Freeway yesterday..... failed to bring a second rope, so decided against continuing up. Anyways, at the bolted station at the top of the first pitch there, the bolt on the right is loose. Not like the nut is loose, but the bolt actually wiggles a bit in the rock. I d...

Re: Soloing Uncle Ben's with Merci Me to start
Merci Me is technically two pitches, but you can do it as one single rope stretching pitch with a 70. Saves her having to actually climb it, and she can just give you a belay assuming she's alright with that. Of course, she would still have to get across and back down the Flake Escape. Merci Me stil...
