And I can't believe nobody has mentioned Deidre 5.8 or Sickle 5.8 on the Apron I don't think that classic, popular, multi-pitch routes are the best place for people to learn to lead climb cracks. Better to spend time mastering techniques where one is less committed, and not libel to cause a traffic...

Spring clean
Dave, thanks for fixing the topo link. The Wiretap area is north facing so I can't imagine things are dry enough to climb there yet, however, since the season is not too far away, I hope to do a bit of a spring clean on it in a few weeks time. Yeah the pressure washer could work but I wonder if the crag is above the water intake for the chief campground. If so then the pressure washer could wash sediment into the creek contaminating the campground water supply and filtration system. Which would be bad. It was just an idea anyway. Smallma...
