Re: Climb and Punishment
As bearbreeder mentioned I removed that pin sometime last Fall. After seeing many climbers take decent sized falls onto only the pin with no back up piece I figured it was a matter of time before someone pulled it out and hit the ledge. There are many bomber gear options right around where the pin w...

Re: Passing etiquette on a multi pitch
Sorry to hear about your experience, whoever it was is clearly an imbecile. If it happens again just grab his rope and pull really hard, unless he could fall on you or your partner, then just do the clove hitch method. If you are one of those people who climb multi's with a gri-gri, it makes an exce...

Re: Smoke Bluffs Park Top Ten Climbs
Neat and Cool, and Climb and Punishment are my fave 10's.
For 5.11's I think 'Weenie' and 'Teenage Girls won't Blow Gorbies' at Penny Lane are two of the best in the bluffs. Werewolves of London as well.

Re: 5.10 crack testpieces
Pitch 2 of Daily Planet! Unfortunately you would have to get up the first pitch to try it.... but I'm sure you could pull on gear or something.

Re: Don't Steal Draws
Is it cool to steal draws off a 5.11 route? I think this statement could be re-phrased to say that stealing draws off of anyone's project at any grade is not cool. Sorry I meant that it was easy to tell that the route is difficult and a likely candidate for someone to leave draws on for working, mo...

Don't Steal Draws
So I left 3 draws on the steep sport climb to the right of Neat and Cool with the intent to return the next day, unfortunately I got called in to work and had to come back a few days later. When I went back to try and send my draws were gone. I know Neat and Cool is an area that is often full of beg...

I climbed the new Tatonka yesterday, I is definitely harder now. I onsighted it in it's original state, took me at least 5 tries to send it yesterday. Instead of being one hard move then a bunch of easy stuff, its fairly sustained all the way to the mantle. It's a better problem now! Less of a one m...

That was me with the drill in the orange, but I wasn't cleaning and DEFINITELY not trundling. Just put a new belay in and was working my project on a fixed line. I didn't knock any blocks off, and none fell from above me. So whatever came down by 'Jingus the Cat' must have either come from Vulcan's ...

Alex is an incredible climber.... a while ago I was all happy, just having finished the second ascent of 'Bruce Lee Vs. The Kiss Army', the infamous 5.13R at Neat and Cool. Then Alex joins us and after spraying him down with the beta, he ties in and flashes it.... flashes a 5.13R! Then seeing as the...
