Re: Don't Steal Draws

but still everybody should know that stealing someone else's draws off of an obviously difficult project (5.13 sport route) is not cool. Is it cool to steal draws off a 5.11 route? I think this statement could be re-phrased to say that stealing draws off of anyone's project at any grade is not cool...

get a stationary bike and some good tv series on DVD. I recommend the Wire, breaking bad and Sons of Anarchy. Should keep you busy for the first 6-7 weeks when you will be on the couch. stay away from impact exercises like running when you first start rehab. Sounds like your timing for surgery is go...

A pic of the ladder here, where does the route go from its top? Up the ledge to the right? Is there more iron above?

i went to a gym in london once that was built in an old castle, in the turrets they had ropes set up for teaching people to rappel and other rope techniques. I was solo so only bouldered and it was cool as they had a bunch of regular (wooden, modular) walls and one huge bouldering wall made of wierd...

I have, lots of gondis all over the place. A gondola would likely have less environmental impact than that Europa mounstrosity. (although nature will reclaim that). I am just tired of one park/nature stakeholder group trying to have the only say. Even within the climbing stakeholder group there is ...

So what if there is a gondola? Just different stakeholders on park land, climbers shouldn't hoard the outdoors for sake of a more purer lifestyle. It would benefit Squamish's business to have more traffic. Ever been to Chamonix? They don't complain about the gondis and they take their trad vey seri...

i don't think that chalk is as much of a contributing factor here seeing as most "classic" climbs are less than vertical and the sheer amount of rain we get keeps it from building up. I agree that gear probably does break down the crystals in the granite on the inside of the crack but i don't think ...

I disagree slopr. I would much rather have the polishing confined to a small area of climbs instead of spreading it around everywhere. And plus if you are a local you should have climbed the majority of the routes at the usual gumbie areas. The last thing I want is the secret less travelled areas i...
