Re: Mank Patrol

I just wanted to bump this thread. The SAS has now completed 3 big phases of manky anchor/bolt replacement and guides are in the process of completing Phase 4. Here's a non-exaustive list of completed projects just from Phase 3; Pink Panther Peaches and Cream Genetically Superior Digital Dexterity S...

Re: New route on Lakeside in the Woods

Spied this line while working the Gunslinger with Ben Harnden last spring, gave it a light brushing and started attempts. I put a lot of time in to this last year, falling at the crux many times. Almost sent it a couple times, but my climbing season was shut down for the rest of the year when I fell...

The Bull 5.14a R.
Broke bones on this thing last summer. Led it today. Climb The Gunslinger to the top of the corner and go right.

New Route on Cacodemon

Hi all. I led a new free route on the Cacodemon about 15m right of Creepshow yesterday. The route climbs a old aid line up a hard face with no pro to a big flake system mid height, followed by a hard bouldery finish to the top of the boulder. All natural pro. I replaced a rusted set of 3/8 studs at ...

New route at Cabin Boys

Eagle Claw Technique 12+/13- R Hevy Duty equipped the line last year. I led it last weekend. Start up Wet Dream until it's possible to stem in to the face crack on the steep wall to the right. Plant your gear and gun for the lip. Don't fall on the last couple moves! Once you hit the lip it's not ove...

Re: Ben Harnden makes 3rd ascent of Dreamcatcher!

Ben used a slightly different sequence getting up the 12d slab section. No change in overall difficulty. If anything Ben's way is a bit harder than the way Chris did it.

Re: Any word on falcon closures yet?

No closures slated so far. The monitoring program, which runs until the end of May has yet to determine any nesting sites.
