The 2005 sighting was probably Gary Foster looking for climbable rock. When he heard people coming up the road, he probably took them as competitor route setters and tried to scare them off. But really, whose to say for sure. If there is a Bigfoot living up in the Chek Canyon, he doesn't seem to min...

What you are talking about is not material ownership, but a sense of ownership. Although you do not 'own' the route with a title residing with the land title office in New Westminster, you own the route in the sense that you have taken it upon yourself to invent it. We are instead heading farther south to Bishop, to where the sun is shining and is supposed to keep on shi...

I don't get it, the highway upgrade is going to allow so many more people to access our great climbing areas. So many more friendly faces to chat with when standing in line for your favourite routs and projects. (I am being sarcastic) As an engineer, I am quite disappointed at the lack of respect th...

Make the most out of living in Squamish by climbing during the week on real rock as opposed to plastic. And of course send something hard.

Besides, someone will just come along and free it w/o using any bolts and then chop them. Tis the way of the world.

When did the Lower Malamute open up for climbing? As far as I am aware, CN Rail has forbidden all access to climbers.

If you are attending school you should look into the outdoor clubs. UBC has a strong club, the Varsity Outdoor Club.
