quit my job in mid summer/ fall and do some climbing in bulgaria, greece, and saudi arabia (if there is any climbing there) before i start work in saudi. as far as local stuff, i'd like to redpoint a couple more 12- sport (ie. blackwater) and be a somewhat proficient 10+ trad climber

i've found climbing in the partners section of this forum and in the parking lot at the smoke bluffs, but mostly at cliffhanger coq...keep trying

i like the idea of another local ski hill! i hope it's steep

got on right wing yesterday after changing our minds last minute from climbing "birds". definitely a worthwhile climb although it kicked our asses for sure. the third pitch was "long" with no rests except when i got too pumped while looking through my rapidly depleting stock of protection and scream...

climbed these routes a couple months back and feel the grades are about right. i don't recall having concerns with the heel catching the rope.

i work a similar shift rotation and have a difficult time finding climbing partners mid-week. i live around Van and am always trying to get to squamish weekly. drop me a message at ddharney(at)hotmail

noticed two bolted lines just past grand larceny this weekend, it was at the end of the day so i wasn't interested in getting on them but wondering if anyone has any route info. left climb looked about 5.9 and the right climb 10ish??

definitely not!!! i climb better hung over when my body is numb and i can't feel any pain.
