Could use a ride this Sunday 31st

My car is sick so I can't drive, and my partner who usually drives is headed to the Rockies, so just wondering if I could get a ride to the Apron. Doesn't matter what time, as long as it's around or before noon.
EDIT: Will donate for gas.
Please and thank you.

WTB: Rock shoes

Due to my extensive amount of climbing, the Anasazis I bought at the start of the season are already getting holes. It's a bit of a pain (literally) to feel my big toe on the rock instead of rubber. I'm too poor to afford new shoes, so I'm trying to go the conservative way..... at least until I can ...

I climb only trad right now, but I am looking to get stronger and start bouldering. If you ever want a partner for that, let me know.

The crack furthest right from the Buttress

Just climbed the original Buttress pitch for the first time the other day and was admiring the .12 cracks to the right of them. They look like they have a lot of potential. I know they have been climbed and named, although I don't have my book on me and can't think of the names off the top of my hea...

Re: 11 1/2 year-old climbs Chief via St. Vitus Dance & Butt

I thought it was reasonable well protected..... You can get gear in by the difficult bits, and other than a few areas, you'd have to try to fall off the ledges. No complaints here...... I actually thought that the second bolt at the crux there was unnecessary as well.

Broadway Party July 31st

Hey all, Thought it might be a fun idea to welcome the arrival of a possible summer by having a meet up on Broadway Ledge. Just hang out, meet other climbers and all that. I've spent a fair amount of time up on there just by myself on the weekends and met some pretty cool people, some of whom have e...

Re: tungston wedding band and silver chain

Found it, just tried to call you but no answer.
You can call me at 778 996 6082. I live in Vancouver, and won't be back up in Squamish until Saturday, so if you are still there then, we can meet, or if you wanted to meet somewheres else before then, we can do that too.

Re: Squamish Accommodation

There is a hostel in Squamish, I'm not sure where it is though. There's also the Inn on the Water which is like a slightly higher priced hostel. I haven't stayed in either one. Your best choice for climbing, particularly in the case of single pitch trad, would be the Smoke Bluffs. Lots of variety, g...

Re: Base Canopy hung up the Trees Above the Badge

I saw the rescue chopper coming in around I think 2:30 or so. I was at the base of the Buttress with a couple other people (met Sonnie Trotter there BTW) and we weren't sure what the heli was there for. Didn't know anything about until we topped out, but we were told he got blown back into the cliff...

Climbing Tomorrow (Saturday)

Hey all, Weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I'm gonna head up to Squish...... As of yet, I have no one to climb with, which is fine cause I want to get some solos in on the Apron, but it might be cool to do some climbs a little later in the day. I'm probably just going to see who I can meet...

Re: Here we go again (Squamish Gondola proposal)

It might open up possibilities for new climbing routes in other areas? I am still new to BC and don't know of any routes besides what is listed in the guides, but maybe a gondola will allow access to sites that may only previously have been accessible by hiking and camping in. Who knows, maybe the n...

Re: Birds of Prey - loose block status

If anyone happens to be unable to make it, I'm available and willing to help for Sunday. Send me a text (778) 996 6082 and I can drive up (and provide a ride if anyone needs it) from Van.
