Personally, when I have put up new routes, I have bolted for safety. So if a fall occurs it will not cause injury or at least try not too.

If someone feels the need to have a thrill, then skip as many bolts as you wish. :D

You can tell by my avatar how much I clip/bolt/drill!

I have used the wrecking bar mentioned. I found it works pretty well.
I also made myself a bowsen chair. Much more comfortable for the rear end.

Hasn't this been shot down before? I thought they have tried to build there for years. They just keep trying until it gets past.

I don't know? I think Whistler is enough.

Now who's bragging!? Ten month road trip! Come on get a job Pete L!! :D To jump into this debate late. I am not much of a climber. Don't care, don't keep track of grades and TR, or use a rope gun or cheater clip a lot of the time. I climb to get excersise, have fun with friends, be outside and so on...

I think it is safe to say that the injuries in the pictures may be industrial accidents but the same results may occur when climbing. Personally I feel more comfortable working with a ring on than climbing with a ring on. All you have to do is get the ring caught when falling and your finger may sta...

Sea To Sky Highway

Was up at Whistler yesterday. The highway has a lot of work being done. I must say I am very impressed with what is being done. Nothing like running a huge machine on the side of a cliff! :D

Glad you liked it! The name does have some meaning for me so I will keep it "enjoy your sandwich" I was having lunch with a person who has a serious and life threatening illness. The person told me that at least the had learned to "enjoy their sandwich" As it were. Thought it was a good route name. ...
