Re: Ten Years After Photos

Here's a little trip report since it quiet around here... I arrived in Canada at the start of August with my wife and have been blown away by the great climbs and experiences I've had on the stone. I spent my time up until now running up and down the stunning crack lines in the sun with good folks.....

Re: Ten Years After Photos

Scrubber, I'm not climbing the Nose, it's a buddy of mine and a Squish local Nathan...they know what they are doing.

Ten Years After Photos

Just soloed Ten Days After and thought you might like a look at some pics. The weather was stunning, the rock perfect and climb exciting! Get out there!

Yup, read the whole thing. There are two other good Squamish threads up there at the moment too.

Negro Lesbian

Anyone got any info on this route? Not looking for beta, just stories...such a route must have a few wicked tales?

And those machine heads, thoughts on how they would be lasting?

Cheers, Nick

Re: Multi Pitch Politeness when stuck behind slow folks.

I agree too. How about simul climbers? Same deal I guess with the whole dropping stuff scenario. My bud and I were simuling calculus two days ago and got very grumpy comments and stares as we passed some folks. We asked, were incredibly polite and thankful, and I got down to 10 meters behind my part...

Re: Escape anchor Etiquette

Climbed La Coalition last week and each belay was set up two bolts, non locking (but nice BD) biners and slightly crusty tat with a rap ring. Since the route is in the shade and only 14 or so months old, I was a little surprised by the tat condition. Anyway, it was set up to rap the route on, but wa...

Re: Split Beaver 5.10b New video, nice shooting

Nice vid, did this a couple of days ago and it was great...take something bigger than a 4 camalot. Good, safe intro to wider cracks and most of it isn't wide.

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

A he decides it needs a few more bolts, then dammit he can bolt the entire thing as far as I'm concerned. His climb either way. Um...no. We are all climbers, just because he cranks gives him no more right to touch the rock than you or I. The classic bolt wars are generally fought between the leadin...

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

Jeremy didn't do the first ascent, he scrubbed it. If I go and scrub a climb, I certainly don't assume the right to retrobolt it. As I said before, this is a finite resource and in order to maintain a varied and challenging landscape of climbs, a limit to convenience drilling should be encouraged. T...

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

Really? One is not allowed to criticize someone else's behaviour at crags around here? It's great that it has been cleaned, I never said it wasn't. Don't bring red herrings into the argument. I think it is lame to tick routes and lame to bolt half way through a pitch that can be climbed on a single ...

Re: Right Wing - bolts are back

Jeremy, are you going to remove your tick marks? I'm glad I haven't had the chance to get on it yet... Sheesh, the guy cleans the route, drills the bolts, etc. etc. and you're gonna give him the gears about some chalk? Least you could do is haul up a cordless toothbrush... Ha, yeah we...
