Re: The Gauntlet

Ya I am pretty sure you can. I haven't been on Simian Response since 2005 so my memory of it is kinda cloudy. The 11a Gauntlet pitch was right beside it if I remember correctly.

Re: New Fixed Chain on Broadway

Is English your second language BSP or are you retarded? It sounds like both to me. When is there ever a traffic jam on Broadway ledge? Are you the guy who put this chain and other assorted unnecessary hardware on Broadway? Who are you talking about, strong 5.9 climber on good days? Seriously dude, ...

Re: The Gauntlet

I don't know how to upload an image to this site. Hmm... Well it's on supertopo here if you want to see it. http://www.supertopo.com/inc/photo_view.php?dpid=Mj80OTw5KSIk We actually climbed the corner to the left when doing the FA as well but did not clean it, choosing to put our route up the easier...

Re: The Gauntlet

The corner system to the right of pitch 3 is a 2 pitch line put up in '06 called Mad Nerd and Poodle, the pitches are 10d,12b. The 10d pitch is one of the best 5.10 pitches going and makes an excellent variation to The Gauntlet. The 12b is also amazing featuring wild stemming and laybackiing in a d...

Re: New 5.9 Variation on Squamish Buttress

That would be cool if your friend or anyone added a bolt there for us. Thanks for the advice Kris. I totally agree with you. The route wasn't meant to be a bold one at all.

Re: New 5.9 Variation on Squamish Buttress

I'm curious, did you guys balance/walk across the ledge with the bolt at your chest to gain the arete? That's the trick for it. Sorry about the swing factor there. I wish I had a drill...

Re: New Fixed Chain on Broadway

Wow, seems like this is a weird fixation someone has on this stretch of Broadway ledge. So what is next, a via ferrata perhaps? It would be really neat-o if this clandestine ledge fixer would out themselves and talk about this. Until then, I guess it's booty time.

Re: New 5.9 Variation on Squamish Buttress

one or two moves to the next bolt.
Oops, that is a lie, there is no bolt two moves up. Bad memory here... Reading back to my earlier post, you do one or two arete moves to get to easier but run out terrain.

Re: New 5.9 Variation on Squamish Buttress

I'm sorry but no we have not. I don't have a drill or I would for sure. Hopefully I can borrow one soon. Like Lurch said, you should be fine. It's not that bad at the start of the arete. It just would be more comforting being able to clip from the stance before you have to do one or two moves to the...

Haha, guys calm down. I meant it as a complement for all the hard work you guys put into melting down trees n dirt. But please keep writing angry comments at me, it's very entertaining.

Yay team. I love Rambles!

Re: Passing etiquette on a multi pitch

Hey that was me! joking... Sorry that you had to deal with that idiot. Hopefully he didn't sketch your partner out too bad out of her first multi experience. Doubt he was a "local" if he had no clue how to lead Diedre. But I don't think being "local" absolves you of being a dangerous moron.

Kris, did you take a gaze across to the left at the Grim Reaper? It traverses left from that splitter crack.
