I think that unless someone has the ~30 years experience that people involved in the rescue do, it would be best to leave the how's and whys to the experts. I wasn't there, but if I was I sure wouldn't just peace and leave a dude there with bones sticking through his leg. I also wouldn't gripe about...

First thing, OP should read up on some history of climbing in Squamish. The guidebook is a good place to start. For my part, when I first started posting here and was new to Squam, I thought some stuff was seriously wack. Then I read up a bit on Supertopo (courtesy of Anders) and noticed some names ...

Is Dancing in the Light as terrifying as it looks in that photo recently posted It definitely has it's moments..... The guidebook says that the bolts get closer together as it gets steeper, which they do compared to the lower pitches, but they still aren't close by any means. Perhaps my slab headsp...

I honestly think that the Sword is my favorite trad pitch so far. Can't get over the amount of exposure up there! On the other hand, High Mountain Woody, when I climbed it last year, was the first .9 I'd been on in a while and was like, this is AMAZING! As far as sport goes, I haven't really climbed...
