Fair enough! thanks for the name of the route too... I believe I've climbed it; if it's the one I'm thinking of, it is indeed a great route!

Hey Blake; your right, there's no Skaha forum - they really need to get crackin over at Skaha.org. I just sent them an email to ask (again) for some user-input stuff. Meanwhile, maybe you'd be so kind as to place the hangers and bolts? We can all help to keep our climbs accessible and safe. happy cl...

Hey Chad; I live in Squamish and have a four day on, two day off work schedule, and so have rotating days off. Also, the work shift switches from 7 am - 3 pm to 3 pm - 11 pm every rotation, so I will sometimes have all morning to climb even on workdays. It sounds like we've got the same idea - I've ...

That seems to me a bit like saying you wouldn't climb Supervalue in the Bluffs because you climbed Auntie Gravity a few years ago and it was wet and filthy....

By the way - nice pic Matthew, looks like a beauty crack

Ahh, not so - see the "Europa FFA" thread. While I realize you have spent more time up there than most recently, apparently there may be loose stuff afterall. However, we should never assume any multipitch routes will be free of rockfall (or biner fall, for that matter!) so I can't see it beingtoo m...

well you dont have to worry about dirt and rocks from Europa this whole spring summer because Falcon closure starts in a month, March 15th, and continues till August, the chances of it being dry before then are minimal. If this was posted when it says it was (April), then the closure started a mont...

Thanks for the 'heads up'! I'll be sure to avoid taking any gumbies up for awhile (gumbies gumby-er than me, that is).

Re: FFA of Europa 5.8

We really enjoyed Europa, thanks for all the hard work Jeff & co, but either of us would recommend this climb to a person who would not be comfortable climbing The Ultimate Everything, despite the lower grade. Just trying to work out what you mean here... I take it that neither of you would recomme...

I realize this is quite a bit late to join this discussion, but incase anyone happens along here...
Just to clarify, isn't the route in question Pipe Dream and not Root Canal? (Both McLane's and Bourdon's guidebooks cite Pipe Dream as bearing the tree)

Europa update?

Rather than enter the fray of discussing the merits/pitfalls of this endeavour, I would simply like to know what the status of the climb is... Are we clean or still under construction? Thanks and maybe keep any other opinions/comments as to the value of the project to one of the other threads devote...
