I'm 'Sorry' to hear if that turned out to be a fatal accident. Wearing a helmet 'may' have saved his life, I can't emphasise wearing a helmet enough. All your vital signs etc are controlled by the brain, it's the most major important part of the body you'd most want to protect. Even a knock to the h...

"Again, Comment deleted by Moderator, unnecessary childish comments will not be allowed" I feel all their responses were quite valid, contrary to what you want to think or believe. And since there is more on here that feel that way, there's would seem more valid than your little disagreement. Know y...

Jeffski waited 3 hrs to get up a 10c climb due to others??: a good pointer to others who cause delay to others is 'try climbing and sticking to and knowing your limitations especially on the Chief'.

No excuse beginner or not; as beginners did we all climb like that and carry unnecessary junk with us when we went climbing? I think not. Also as a beginner I wouldn't have opted to do a multpitch up the chief for a first climb, maybe for a 5th climb but not for the very first climb no.

Two climbers required - 1 dayTrad lead course in Squamish 23

Hello, I am looking for 2 more people to attend the Trad lead course that I have got a discount for as the 'top official guide' is friends with one of my climbing partners. The cost is only going to be $100- each!!! It's a one day intense day course, as you are expected to be somewhat familiar alrea...

thanks

Thank you; I will look into that one. Have had a positive response from UBC too, and I will no doubt do a course there so on that basis, I can then join that one. I will look into them both.

If anyone else is in any, their feedback would be appreciated as well.

mountaineering clubs

Can anyone recommend a good mountaineering club to join? With mixed age group. That teaches avalanche awareness courses etc, and gives me good weekends away intermittently, about once a month would be good. I liked the look of the UBC club, but as I am unsure if it is that one or simon fraser where ...

great

I will do thanks, and thank you for your reply. I am not looking 'just' to climb with people at my level mind, and I am not rejecting you either. But for anyone else looking, I do like climbing with advanced climbers above my level as I progress that way, and it's what I've been doing ongoing anyway...

looking for climbing partners

From 22nd march onwards, anyone for cliffhanger; and other indoor gyms like the edge in Vancouver (as I tend to like going to different gyms not just one on a weekly basis). Also outdoor climbing on a weekly basis. Can do evenings/ or daytimes on my 4-5 days off, each week. Currently I'm climbing at...
