Re: western harlot

I believe there are two routes on the Western Harlot buttress. An unpublished route is encountered first then as you pass the large tree the start of Western Harlot appears. Dingo is on a separate wall to the right.

Re: Rack advice please

If you are quick with the hex (almost an oxymoron) don't leave them at home. Almost all the 5.7 to 5.10 routes will take two BD #2 and or two BD #3 and a lot will take a #4. Obviously the cams are going to be faster but jamming the hex in early from a good stance will save the cam for later. 60 mete...

Re: Starvation Lake Crag

The easy access for the north end is now blocked with concrete barriers and there is no parking there. We accessed it from the yellow gate just north of the big orange bridge and it took about 50 mins to get to the crag. Driving up to the end of paradise valley and using the that entrance would prob...

Re: What's the name of this crag/climbs in Smoke Bluffs?

A lot of scary black lichen. A bit less on Dancing, and Rhythm. The first bolt on rhythm is incredible high given the black horror show underneath it. Bring some small cams who knows one might hold. IMHO Rhythm and Quest are the two best lines.

Looking for trail building tools

I did a little check on the trail building tools in the storage room at the Squamish Bouldering Co-op all 5 mattocks, all the 4 bow saws, various shovels, and the small hand picks are missing. Summer volunteer time is coming up and that will be a major cash out lay to repurchase stuff which shouldn'...

Re: Ronin's Corner - Right of MCM - grade?

So there are technically four new climbs right of MCM. In reality Tilting Gravestone is merely the lower part of Satellite Dish 1) Sammy's Frog 7 bolts 5.10- 2) Gravestone 2 bolts 5.10- ends at a tree 3) Tilting Gravestone 2 bolts 5.10- 4) Satellite Dish 3 bolts 5.10+ I believe they are all Harry Yo...

Re: Gear Anchor on Calculus Crack

Happily foot hand jamming away a little slip and twist followed by a loud "pop" from the tendon in his ankle blowing apart. Not very dramatic but it still ends the climb as the same as an epic whipper. At least he wasn't soloing.

Gear Anchor on Calculus Crack

A climber was injured on Calculus Crack and was forced to leave their gear anchor at the top of the third pitch. If it is recovered please return to Climb On so he can pick it up.

So beer or other liquids maybe slack your thirst when the gear returns.
