Re: remove via ferrata south peak?

I don't think it was ever his plan to leave it as is anyway, but why go through the hassle of putting a poll up then! Chop or file away and thanks for taking so much care of me and my fellow climbers against the BC Parks demon when I DID NOT ASK FOR YOUR HELP.

Re: remove via ferrata south peak?

I guess it is clear that it should not be removed based on a majority decision.

When did some self entitled climbers become police to all rock related issues? Is winter creeping in on them? Please just go ski for a few months... We should brace ourselves for climbers polling to find out if the Whistler gondola towers bolted to granite should be removed as well, or maybe BC hydr...

I have, lots of gondis all over the place. A gondola would likely have less environmental impact than that Europa mounstrosity. (although nature will reclaim that). I am just tired of one park/nature stakeholder group trying to have the only say. Even within the climbing stakeholder group there is n...

So what if there is a gondola? Just different stakeholders on park land, climbers shouldn't hoard the outdoors for sake of a more purer lifestyle. It would benefit Squamish's business to have more traffic. Ever been to Chamonix? They don't complain about the gondis and they take their trad vey serio...

A few comments: 1. As you replace the anchors at Forgotten Wall routes, please do not lower them. The character of the routes would change drastically if you soften the topouts. 2. If possible, the last biner on rugmunchers should be steel. No one that warms up on it goes to the anchors, most just t...

Do it on a weekend and I'll happilly help. But I don't think it will last. Some good guys where out there with shovels and a compactor too and it lasted about a week. The main problem is city drivers that stop half way and then restart. There should be a sign at the base saying something regarding p...

There are plenty of places to legally camp for free, but not at the party places. It depends if you need to stay with the crowds.

We left it there because a guy called Dave, I believe, forgot it while packing a huge baby cage into a backpack. He has a wife, a ltttle baby (hence the cage) and I believe a dog, lives in Squamish. If anybody knows him, tell him about it.

Ashes to ashes... Zinc comes from the ground, just give it back this winter, see what happens. Or sodium hypochlorite, after it does its thing, the chlorine evaporates and salt is left behind. It does not last years though. Gas is good but it has to be rainy so you don't create a forest fire. don't ...
