Re: New Crag " The Playground"

Enjoyed a fun afternoon here. The two 10b's and the 11b offered some very fun, quality climbing. Noticed however that maybe not all of the bolts installed were stainless steel? Looked like there was some corrosion and rust starting already behind a few of the washers on the 11b and the lefthand 10b....

Found - #4 HB offset, dropped from Penny Lane

To the climber who dropped his rack of nuts off Penny Lane on Sun Oct 6th, we found a straggler at the base. Nice little brass offset.

I can guarantee that it has been climbed more times than the once that you've done it. It's the same rack as for Pipeline, going propose to bolt that next? Man up carry the big gear, I know you can do it. In fact take it with you to WA pass and do the Boving Roofs - I'd like to hear how that goes :)

I've heard that #6 WC friend and a #3 big bro is what it takes. There is no anchor at the top either.

Phone if you want to borrow something.

Watched friend on it summer before last. Got to see both leader and 2nd take whippers off the wandering last pitch. They did not mention mud and grass, only difficult climbing.

Student research project

I am considering a proposal for a student research project that would involve updating the rock climbing strategy for the Stawamus Chief, Shannon Falls and Murrin provincial parks. Was hoping to solicit some feedback from the local climbing community regarding thoughts on the need or usefulness of a...
