Re: Magic Brush?

I swear by the red ones too. Bought my first one at climb on in squamish and since then i have seen them in the auto parts store and at Rona in Whistler. Only weakness is that sometimes the handle slips off - but easy to fix. Makes a great BBQ brush too.

Re: Sea to Sky Trail -- anybody been on it?

There's also a bunch of random bolts on a S.facing low angle slab opposite of the crag above. Climbed one route there a few years ago, it was similar to those routes to the left of Charlottes web at chek. It would make a good beginner area if it was in a more convenient location but aside from that ...

Re: Current condition of Cheakamus Canyon?

Electric edge about 20 km north of the village looks good (some friends were walking the dogs there this week). It's on the way to pemby, just past where the highway crosses the train tracks (500m past the shadow lakes conservation forest parking). Approach is about 90 seconds of hiking. heres a lin...

How about some sport ice slab at the AMO wall? We climbed in and around that area in January 1980, and others may have climbed there in 1978 - 79, which was a quite cold winter. The slabs to the north of Shannon Falls, maybe half way to Olesen Creek. I have some slides of it - they might be somewhe...

I'm the guy! A ton of the work was done last summer but this year i've busy with a new job and spent my free time actually climbing so far. Also, my partner moved to Australia so i haven't had as much motivation yet to complete things (plus the rain keeps getting in the way) so far completed: -3p 10...

I need to make space in my storage and i rarely use this haul bag, so it's up for grabs. I bought it used at kelly's sports a few years ago, it's not a name brand but its a solid construction- the usual shape with removable backpack straps - could have been made by onsight in their early days?? it's...

I climbed it 5-6 years ago and had the same problem. Scary lead with that polished rock... i think that a bolt would be a good idea. Otherwise, maybe an alternate start, i think i remember considering a face crack a few M left of the start, directly over the river. Is there an approach to this climb...

2 New Routes at Rogues

Just wanted to report 2 new routes we put up last summer at rogues, I didn't get around to the final clean till the end of the season because of all of the highway closures, etc Both routes are on the wall left of the slammer. Direct sun in the PM. You can see this wall if you look directly up from ...
