Katadyn all the way bro. The most important thing to know about a water filter is if they are "absolute" This means that every filter pore is the size they claim. That which is not absolute have filter pore sizes that are larger than the size stated by the manufacturer.

Part of the fun of rock climbing is reading the rock. We are not in a gym. Do we really need to glue rocks? Or am I missing something here? Enlighten me.

Route cleaning

Have you considered that perhaps they are not finsihed cleaning the route. Some routes require several days to clean depending on how overgrown the route has become. Hey the last time I cleaned a route it took a month before we could get back and do the lower half. Some routes require frequent clean...

I always unserstood that to 'sandbag' was to climb a route that was to difficult for the climber's ability and the result would be to bail. Great site.

Beleive it or not: when I climbed Banna Peel someone ticked the holds with big fat arrows. Felt like climbing at the gym. I didn't care; however, it occured to me that eventually someone may permanently start tagging holds--I hope that day never comes.
